We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee and build on our existing Quality System. This position will report to the CEO.

Mandated Areas of Responsibility

  • Quality of products and services

Primary Objectives

  • Ensure products and services conform to customer and regulatory requirements
  • Achieve and maintain AS9100C certification
  • Lead continual improvement at HCC

Specific Responsibilities of the Position

  • Develop AS9100C compliant QMS
    • Quality Manual
    • Quality Procedures
  • Implement QMS
    • Align with customer QMS requirements
  • Attain AS9100C certification
    • Manage audit process
    • Address any findings
  • Conduct quality inspections
    • Receiving inspections
    • Trim checks if Production Manager isn’t available
    • Final Inspections
  • Conduct Internal Audits
  • Manage NC, CA and PA
    • Root cause analysis
    • Plan, cost and implement NC/CA/PA
    • Verify effectiveness
  • Staff Training Standards
  • Customer complaints
    • Review and address
  • Collect and Analyze QMS Data
    • To support HCC goals
    • Input to Management Review Mtgs
  • Calibrate equipment
  • Management Review Meetings
    • Develop agenda
    • Take minutes
    • Follow up on action items
  • Supplier Review and Management
    • Assist Office Manager
    • Conduct Supplier Reviews
    • Manage Supplier NC and CA
  • Quality Reporting
    • Weekly Meetings
    • Management Review Meetings
    • As req’d to support QMS
  • Risk Management
    • Risk Assessment
      • Supporting customer orders
      • Supporting Management Review Meetings

Required Training/Certification, Knowledge and Skills

  • Advanced quality training required
  • No certification required

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma required
  • College diploma or university degree preferred
  • 5yrs of quality management experience required
  • AS9100C experience preferred

Physical Demands

  • 50% sitting and working at computer
  • 50% walking/standing
  • Light lifting 20lbs or less

Work Environment

  • 50% office [significant noise from adjoining business]
  • 50% production shop
